Pet Policy
Pets are welcome.
Maximum of two pets (cats) or (dogs up to 35lbs each) are permitted per apartment. Birds and hamsters are permitted but always be in cages. Tropical fish and aquariums are permitted as well. Snakes and other reptiles are not permitted. A monthly pet fee of $50.00 per pet will be charged.

$250.00 per pet non-refundable fee/up to a maximum of 35lbs, must be paid in full before the pet (cats and dogs) may reside in the apartment home.

Permission must be secured in writing from management for any pets and the Rules and Regulations of the apartment regarding pets must be strictly adhered to. The apartment home manager must meet all pets prior to their move in and management has the right to deny any pet that would affect the quiet enjoyment of the other residents. A photograph of the pet(s) will be taken and place in the resident’s file. Dog and cat owners are required to present a copy of a current license and proof of current rabies inoculation at move in and annually. Dog owners must purchase and maintain rental insurance coverage with a minimum of $300,000 in liability coverage, including coverage for the type(s) of breed(s) of all permitted pets. A copy of the policy renewal must be provided to management upon request and/or upon lease renewal. The policy must name the following as Additional Insured: Chesapeake Village Center, LLC/A&W Investments/Chesapeake Square. Please contact the management for further details on all policies surrounding the Rental Insurance requirements. This requirement is to protect the dog owner against liability claims in the event their dog causes injury to others. Pet ownership at Chesapeake Village Center is a privilege and management reserve the right to revoke a resident’s pet privilege or terminate their lease agreement when our pet policies are violated.

Dog breeds that are not permitted at Chesapeake Village Center/A&W Investments/Chesapeake Square include Pit Bulls, Huskies, Pit Bull crossbreeds and any other Pit Bull mixes, American Staffordshire Terriers or Bull Terriers (Am staff), Doberman Pinchers, Rottweilers and/or other dog breeds perceived as aggressive or vicious. Animals which are designated as assistance animals to the disabled are accepted with the appropriate documentation by state guidelines.

Dogs must always be leashed when they are being walked and waste must be picked up and disposed of properly.
